AcuScar Gel

Falling just short of our previous selection is AcuScar Gel. This product is formulated to minimize the appearance of scars and claims to be effective on many different types of scars. We liked that this formula contains 100% medical grade silicone. This is clinically proven to help reduce scarring. Another positive about this product is that it is made of 3 different types of silicone. While these are all important ingredients which should guarantee an effective product, this manufacturer doesn’t offer a solid money-back guarantee on this product. The only returns which are accepted are ones which are in unopened packages. Not only that, but consumers only have 30 days in which to return it. However, overall, we felt that it was definitely a well made product.

Oftentimes customer reviews will give an insightful look into the customer experience. Unfortunately, we did not find any customer reviews to peruse! They are woefully missing from the product site. We went investigating on third-party sites such as Amazon and found that AcuScar is not sold there. 

Our own tests showed that it was a good product, but we all know that some products don’t always work the same way for everyone. Even though AcuScar Gel seems to have a very good formula, it could be better by including a dual-action formula by adding a cream product also to help nourish and regrow skin cells. We would have felt better about this gel had they offered a solid money-back guarantee. That said, if you don’t mind taking a chance, this product might be for you.

Dermatix Ultra

This product is manufactured to contain a vast array of ingredients and is said to flatten and lighten scars. It contains many of the same ingredients found in Scarrid (our Editor’s choice), which is great news. In addition, the ingredients used in their formula are high quality and all natural. 

However, there are some deficiencies in this product. It does not have 3 different types of medical grade silicone to effectively seal and hydrate the scar. It is also lacking ingredients to properly lighten and rejuvenate skin cells. While this doesn’t necessarily mean the product won’t work at all, if you are looking for a premium scar repair formula you should be spending your money on as many quality ingredients as possible.

Since the company has an impressive website, we were eager to find out what customers of this product had to say. Unfortunately, there were only 2 reviews on the Dermatix Ultra’s website. We investigated by checking out Amazon reviews and what we found was not very encouraging. Aside from half of the reviews claiming this product doesn’t work, a large majority of those said they received a Dermatix gel that was not like the one they ordered and it came written in a Thai language. Our final disappointment was that there is no possibility for returns and no money-back guarantee. Still, some reviews were positive for people suffering from new scars, so if you have a new scar, you may want to take a chance with this product.
